The name osteopathy which comes from the Greek Word osteon (bone) and patos (illness) is a manual therapy that helps our bodies recover from illnesses and rejuvenates our structure. The base of this therapy is a series of light massages that manipulate the muscular-skeletal system and helps align our muscles and articulations with the goal of balancing our entire internal system.
Any type of massage is a must when we want to maintain a healthy body. Eating right, exercising, taking vitamins and applying cosmetic creams are some of the principal bases of anti-aging, but we need to combine all this with therapies such as osteopathy to complete our circle of beauty.

Ok, lets see here, we want to relax, we need peace, our aching muscles are tired and we want to calm them, what a brilliant idea, lets go to a place where they will give us a massage using a snake! I don’t know, I’m pretty brave and I will try almost anything, but I’m not sure I would be able to relax with a snake on my back or anywhere else for that matter.
It looks like there is a spa in the village community of Talmey El Azar, Israel where Ada Barak, the owner of a spa offers relaxing massages which she states is the best way to de-stress. She admits her clients are not really sure what to expect the first time but after a few minutes, their fear is gone and they thoroughly enjoy the snake massage. Not sure about that, I will let you decide.

Celebrities are usually the first to have plastic surgery but almost always the last to tell, until now. More and more celebrities are coming out of the plastic surgery closet and speaking out about their nips and tucks.
Cindy Crawford´s favorite trick is collagen injections, because they make her feel rejuvenated, Madonna prefers oxygen machines, while Linda Evangelista opts lifting without surgery.. these are just a few examples of celebraties coming out.. but there are a lot more than need to come out and tell all.

Acupuncture is a healing technique used as part of traditional Chinese medicine. Fine needles are introduced into the skin at certain points called “meridians” which are the centralized points of energy within our bodies. Acupuncture treatments are personalized per patient depending on what the problem. Acupuncture balances and allows our energy to flow in a more effective manner.
Until now acupuncture has been used to relieve certain body pains and aches, and to help the body gain enough energy to fight off certain diseases and many other problems. One of those other problems is wrinkles. In centers such as the M Spa in Los Angeles, the use of acupuncture is commonly used for facial lifting’s. After 10 o so sessions of specific lifting acupuncture treatments most women’s notice a tremendous difference in their skin without the side effects of a traditional plastic surgery.
This is just another example of how old technologies are now being used as new therapies and actually working well.

Like I stated in my earlier post, I think 2007 is going to be the year of anti aging. With new discoveries or old discoveries being brought back to light to help us and guide us. American Medical Aesthetics has done just that. This California based esthetics company is introducing a revolutionary new way to keep us young and it is called Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
HBOT as it is referred to is a pressurized cabin that once inside infuses you with 100% pure oxygen allowing your body to absorb all the O2 necessary to detoxify you from built up toxins in your system. They claim this new technique can help rejuvenate and convert you to a brand new healthy person. Just something new to try this new year.

Many women suffer from tired painful legs which eventually turns out as varicose veins. Varicose veins are not only painful, they are aesthetically unpleasing. They could start at any age and are hereditary but with a little precaution we could start to prevent and avoid them in the future.
Varicose veins develop little by little specially if you are a few pounds overweight. To prevent the appearance of these nasty little, as they are sometimes referred to as “spider veins”, we must follow a couple of rules: Keep a diet rich in fiber, avoid tight fitting clothing, avoid crossing your legs for a long period of time, try to put your legs up as much as possible and exercise regularly.
Nowadays, there are different treatments that help diminish these spider veins such as Sclerotherapy, Photoderm, and Laser therapy. Together with a healthy lifestyle you can enjoy perfectly relaxed and beautiful legs.

Back in the 70¨s facial exercise was the latest trend in the prevention against wrinkles and the maintenance of a young and rejuvenated complexion. Today women have started to make weird expression with their faces again, in the hope that these exercises will help them erase years from their faces.
With time dermatologists and plastic surgeons have started to debate the use of these exercises against another group of professional that insist that these exercises are beneficial and help maintain the elasticity of the skin as well as activate cell renewal.
The experts on the pro side explain that these exercises help stimulate the facial nerves and activate blood circulation producing a taut appearance to the skin. The Con group argue that these movements are the actual cause of fine lines and wrinkles and that with prolong exercises more lines and wrinkles will hence appear on the face.
The only thing I´m sure of is that we need to to everything in moderation and use a combination of different techniques to help us maintain our youthfulness and always keeping in mind that a healthy lifestyle is the best remedy for any imperfection
