The other day I read an article in yahoo about an anti-wrinkle pizza and I thought it was a joke, so I just saved it for future reference not really paying much attention to it. But ever since that day I have seen several posts and different articles talking about this miracle pizza, so I thought I had no choice but to comment on it myself.
It seems nutritionist Eugenio Luigi Dorio and restaurant owner Cosimo Mogavero have created an anti-wrinkle pizza called primula. This pizza promises to eliminate or at least fight off wrinkles due to the effects of its antioxidant ingredients. These ingredients are no mystery, whole wheat flour and vegetables such as tomato, pumpkin, carrots, spinach and garlic.
This pizza is sure to have many controversies and I’m not sure if it will remove any of my already existing fine lines but at least it acts as a distraction from our obsession with looking younger.

In just 48 hours you can eliminate a couple of pounds and at the same time impurities in your body that will help detox your internal system. The 48 hour diet is one a favourite with Hollywood celebrities, who use it every time they need to look their best before a special event.
This diet is very simple (if you could stand it) for 48 hours all you need to do is only drink the special 48 hour drink ( a bottle a day), more than half a litre of citric fruit juices, and as much water as your body needs. No solid foods or you will ruin the diet.
I think this is a great diet if you only do it once in a long while because it helps you clean your body and leaves you feeling Light. All diets you should consult your doctor to make sure it is something your body will be able to tolerate.

Even though I recognized this word it had been a long time that I had heard about it but the other day a very good friend of mine called me and told me she had been diagnosed with Muscular Sclerosis. She said that in her disease investigation she came across Ann Boroch’s web page, a nutritionist who healed herself from the disease thanks to a great diet that eliminated foods that cause candidiasis which some people think might be related to MS.
Candidiasis or candida is the growth of yeast. Candia is usually found in the skin, the stomach, the colon, vagina, rectum, the mouth and the throat. Candida can cause health problems only when there is an abnormal overgrowth in any of these parts of the body. The use of unnecessary antibiotics and poor nutrition rich is sugars, breads, milk can produce the growth of candida and become a health risk.
It is important to see your doctor if you suspect you may have an overgrowth of candida. Also visiting an anti-aging clinic such as La Clinique de Paris located in Alicante,Spain, that offers personalized analysis of your system and prepares a nutritional guide as well as vitamins can help you prevent mayor diseases and stay healthier and younger longer.

The other day I wrote a post regarding the age when anti-aging should begin and my thoughts on the matter were that as a child we need to start the anti-aging process for it to have any meaning. As parents we need to educate our children and teach them how to take care of themselves.
Well, bodymechanics a mix between a videogame and cartoons in which kids need to fight the bad guys such as cholesterol, fatty substances and anything that has to do with overweight has the right idea. Without knowing it kids learn about exercise and nutrition while they are having fun.
But like everything, there needs to be limits, spending hours in front of a video game is part of the main cause of overweight children.

Some time ago I read an article in health magazine that talked about the best food products of each country and today I found a geat picture of the body mass index also by country and I found it to be very funny. I then thought, if we eat the healthiest foods from each country we could assure our health and longevity.
In Spain the olive oil is considered the best there for its antioxidant properties, in japan soy wins due to its proteins that help prevent cancer and osteoporosis. In Greece the yogurt is the winner in part because if helps keeps our bones strong. India has lentils to offer us which we all know have a high percentage of iron and fiber and finally Korea offers us Kimchi which helps with our digestion.
so when you are trying to figure out what to serve for dinner make sure to include these international foods in your diet so you could have awesome health.

I don´t really think there is a list out there with antistress foods, but we could easily state that when we eat something we enjoy that right there minimizes our stress and makes us feel better. for example when I eat chocolate (a food that is not on the recommended list) I feel better, and who is going to tell me I can´t eat it.
From what I have been reading it is recommended to eat fruits, and any other foods that contain vitamin C, which is said to help our defenses and helps guard us against the little stress that creeps up on us when we least expect it. Cereals and beans rich in vitamin B also help with our nervous system allowing us to relax and be ready for anything that comes our way. You can also throw in some vitamin E to the mix and you will feel like new.

The warm weather is here and we can start saying goodbye to winter foods such as soup, lentils and broth and welcome the delicious fresh summer foods, the strawberries, watermelon and yes ice cream. Like the change of clothing we have to do every season, so is the change in eating habits for the summer.
Summer food can be a little bit healthier because it is lighter (expect ice cream) that melts us with its fresh and creamy taste. This summer take advantage and eat fruit of the season such as strawberries that are high in antitoxins that help guard our bodies and protect us from disease. Also make sure to take advantage and drink plenty of water and fresh juices being that in the hot summer days we need it to replenish our bodies.
Welcome summer, (ok a little early) but I can´t wait.

Today I read an article in the newspaper that stated that doctors are diagnosing more and more cases of orthorexia every day. What is Orthorexia?
Wikipedia describes it as a term coined by Dr. Steven Bratman, a Colorado MD, to denote an eating disorder characterized by a fixation on eating what the sufferer considers to be healthful food, which can ultimately lead to early death.
Food obsession and too much health obsession can affect all of us. I admit I have a couple of the signs of this disorder, I worry about what I eat and I feel very guilty when I indulge in things I know are not good for me. But at the end of the day I feel very good about myself and I know if I live a healthy life in moderation that is all that matters.
So if you find yourself obsessing about this post, relax and trust yourself, use your intuition and live life to the fullest without going overboard with the healthy stuff.
