This year I have vowed to drink more juices and not just over the counter juices home made fresh juices of fruits and vegetables. Most over the counter juices contain many added sugars and preservatives that defeat the purpose and vegetables lose most of their nutrients when cooked so I found the best solution Juicing. I have bought myself an electric juicer and a book titled the juicing book and I´m off to make the the perfect drinkable vitamin.
Natural Juices have healing properties and help guard our bodies from disease, help our skin look its best and give us a natural boost of energy all this in a tasty drink. With just that I hope to lose some of the holiday pounds as well.

How many times have you sat looking at yourself in the mirror with dozens of different makeup tools and trying to figure out where to start? What color should I use? Where should I apply the colors? we usually end up frustrated and use the same old colors we use every single day or we just leave our faces bare, knowing this might be better than our lame attempt to apply make-up effectively.
Well, as always I have the perfect solution for you.. well, its one solution that I hope could help all of us. Laura Geller offers us “Make up by numbers” a makeup kit that indicates by numbers where each color should be applied. it´s just like painting by number when we were little. Sounds like fun.
I hope this will help all of you.. Good Luck

With so many different studies out there by many scientists to figure out the cause of obesity there is one that stands out. The research team of the Geroma Science Center in the University of Washington states that there is certain proof that high levels of bacteria in the digestive tract could be one of the basic problems of obesity.
The scientist Jeffrey Gordon explains.
The cereal box says that a one-cup serving contains 110 calories. But it may be that not everyone will extract 110 calories from a cup of Cheerios. Some may extract more, some less, depending on the particular combination of microbes in their guts. “A diet has a certain amount of absolute energy,” he said. “But the amount that can be extracted from that diet may vary between individuals — not in a huge way, but if the energy balance is affected by just a few calories a day, over time that can make a big difference in body weight.”
This is why new clinics such as La Clinique de Paris in Alicante are so important to help us discover how our bodies function. With specific blood test these clinics could help you figure out what foods are good for you and which ones are the ones making you sick or could possibly hurt you in the future.

Acupuncture is a healing technique used as part of traditional Chinese medicine. Fine needles are introduced into the skin at certain points called “meridians” which are the centralized points of energy within our bodies. Acupuncture treatments are personalized per patient depending on what the problem. Acupuncture balances and allows our energy to flow in a more effective manner.
Until now acupuncture has been used to relieve certain body pains and aches, and to help the body gain enough energy to fight off certain diseases and many other problems. One of those other problems is wrinkles. In centers such as the M Spa in Los Angeles, the use of acupuncture is commonly used for facial lifting’s. After 10 o so sessions of specific lifting acupuncture treatments most women’s notice a tremendous difference in their skin without the side effects of a traditional plastic surgery.
This is just another example of how old technologies are now being used as new therapies and actually working well.

Like I stated in my earlier post, I think 2007 is going to be the year of anti aging. With new discoveries or old discoveries being brought back to light to help us and guide us. American Medical Aesthetics has done just that. This California based esthetics company is introducing a revolutionary new way to keep us young and it is called Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
HBOT as it is referred to is a pressurized cabin that once inside infuses you with 100% pure oxygen allowing your body to absorb all the O2 necessary to detoxify you from built up toxins in your system. They claim this new technique can help rejuvenate and convert you to a brand new healthy person. Just something new to try this new year.

These terms correspond to the same order of medicine, which works to limit the effects of time to our organism. Ant-aging medicine is a new type of medicine, it is a form of proactive medicine, it acts as a warning and treats diseases before they even form on our bodies. It also helps balance our system and change our lifestyle to a healthier more efficient one. It helps us combat the passage of time which is what affects our state of health an overall appearance.
What does this type of medicine offer? It offers early detection of health problems, resolves current health problems, gives you a new chance at a longer healthier life as well as improving your physical appearance. But mostly this type of medicine makes you feel good inside and out.
This new preventative anti-aging method has nothing to do with plastic surgery and does not look to correct the body using prosthesis or any type of surgery, on the contrary it looks to repair our organism in order to extend our lifespan. it is a treatment that engrosses different medical principles (nutrients, hormones, vitamins, co-enzymes) treated by specialized doctors in nutrition, endocrine medicine, pharmacology among others.
By correcting future and present health problems our bodies enjoy the results of weight and mass loss, increased energy, reinforcement of the immunological system, increases our sex drive and many many other benefits that continue through the treatment process. The treatments are personalized and are very simple to follow.
The perfect age to start these treatments is around 35 years of age. Blood work is analyzed and the patients are given a special diet to follow as well as vitamins and several different types of treatments that will begin to restore and rejuvenate the body.

Peanuts are actually a vegetable not a dried fruit as many think and they contain a high level of fiber, proteins, iron, magnesium, folic acid and vitamins B & E. Two spoonfuls of peanut butter contain 188 calories and no cholesterol.
In the United States P B & J is the favorite snack of most children and new studies show it should also become a favorite of adults. It is a meal that not only gives you energy but provides you with the necessary vitamins to live a healthy life.
If you haven´t tried peanut butter yet, you should. You can make a home made recipe or buy it in specially prepared cans.

Is it not enough we have to deal with cellulite and varicose veins? I guess not, welcome the new member of the team of destructive and ugly body problems called stretch marks. Yes, I guess we have to endure all of it, why not? I thought stretch marks were only for pregnant women (which they are) but they are not the only ones who suffer from these little annoying lines.
Stretch Marks are skin defects that appear as bands or white or red lines that occur from a rupture of the colagen and elastic fibers of the subcutaneous layer of the skin. They usually appear around puberty, due to obesity, pregnancy, diseases such as diabetes or menopause. Could we prevent them? I hate to say it, but NO, there is nothing you can do to prevent them but there is something you can do to help their appearance and try to maintain them from getting deeper.
As with all the beauty advice ever given, a proper diet, rich in fruits and vegetables, daily exercise and the help of creams and oils will guide you in your quest for perfection.

We continue on our journey of eternal beauty and we will spend the rest of eternity on that same quest. Therapies, treatments, creams, exercise, medicine, vitamins…what is the right solution? We could drive ourselves crazy trying to figure out what is the right answer to the mystical question we ask over and over.. How do I conserve my beauty?
I´m not sure if I will ever find that miracle that so many others have been trying to find or invent for thousands of years to become immortal. I´m not obsessed with my age, but it is true that with every new year, I sit back and meditate and realize that after all, our days here on earth are numbered.
In this new 2007 year, I think each and everyone of us need to concentrate on maintaining an open mind and not be afraid of trying new products or therapies whilst guiding our minds in a positive direction.
